Friday’s Letters – September 7

friday's letters

Dear Weatherman – Do you remember a few week ago when I elevated you to superhero status because you said, “We are done with hundred degree days for this year”?  Guess what?  I’m officially toppling your pedestal.  You do realize that it was 104 degree yesterday afternoon, and that it’s supposed to be 103 today.  I sincerely hope you didn’t get fired over your way-off-base weather commentary.  You may consider yourself redeemed if we do  indeed get that delicious, 40 degree drop in temperature cold front through here tonight as promised.

Dear Random Car Driving Near the Museum District – What?  Why do you have an “antique” license plate?  I recognize you!  I actually drove a car like you once upon a time!  You can’t be an antique!

Dear Whirlpool Washer- Thank You! Sometimes it’s nice to get paid for all of the hard work I do keeping Mt. Washmore under control.  Yes, Friends, our house rule is that whoever finds money in the washer or dryer while doing the laundry gets to keep it!  And I Do!

Dear Mr. Pea – Thank you for your patience this week.  I know I’ve been tired, sad missing the girls, and worn out with the heat.   Next week promises to be a million times better.  You’re the best and I Love You!

Linking up at Suscipio – come join us!

Record the Minutes.  Keep the Faith.

  1. Happy Friday Angela! Our weatherman and yours should get together and compare notes because they were both WRONG!!!!

I love finding money in the washer or dryer. I always consider it a ‘Thank You’ too. I can’t remember ever finding a $20 though. You must be doing a better job that I am.

  2. The weather here has been so crazy, hot during the day then dropping to the 60’s at night.

I can help with your laundry, all I ever get is rocks, sticks, toy cars, and dead bugs. I’d love to find real money sometime. I guess I’ll have to wait a few more years. Boys!

Hope it cools down for you!
    Have a great weekend!

  3. Oh my gosh…you are so funny…love these letters! Some day I will try them.

$20 in the wash?? My kids would hound me and I don’t know if I could pull off *Huh? I don’t know what you are talking about.*

Darn weatherman…I would be a bit…testy…under those temps…I am looking forward to that cold front too.

  4. I so enjoy reading your letters! They make me crack up.

One time I was swimming in a public waterpark and found $20. I treated everyone to icecream. I was magic. lol!

We don’t have heat like that here now thank goodness, but we are a grumpy group when overheated!

When my daughter started liking Strawberry Shortcake and they revamped her clothes and hair…. redid her for ‘today’s girl’ (yah I know, they have no idea) I was like ‘please tell me she still smells the same.” lol…it dates a person!

    Have a great week!
