Minutes – March 24, 2014

Moments of Grace Logo

::faithful – Prayers of rejoicing – Cherry Ames has been called back for several job interviews; DirtBike currently has an 88 in math; spring is upon us; I had the energy and strength this weekend to do some serious house cleaning.

::creative – Hmmm….not much this past week.

::Kill All the Cells! – Round seven done, five more to go.  This week is Taxotere, Gemzar and Neulasta, and I hope to stay ahead of the nausea and pain this time around.  I really overdid it last round and it took a longer time to recover.  This coming weekend, there is nothing on my schedule except for rest. And maybe some couch lounging with knitting and watching old movies.

::delicious

  • Lentil and Carrot Soup
  • Ribs, Green Beans, Salad
  • Chicken Curry over Quinoa and Peas
  • Turkey Sandwiches
  • Vegetable Soup
  • Tuna Sandwiches
  • Hamburgers on the Grill if the weather cooperates

::fun – Yes, but very quiet kind of fun.  We watched Frozen from the comfort of our own sofa.  We went to see the Butterflies in the Garden last weekend.

::fashionable –   Sunday evening = black yoga pants, electric orange tee-shirt, stretchy grey cap.

::looking ahead –  Rest.  Recovery.  Building up my strength with some very healthy eating and self-care.

Keep the Faith.

  1. Well, dear brave soul, you get all the rest that you need and make time to watch all your favorite old movies. Hey, that’s a pretty smile there, complemented by a happy-looking bandanna! Prayers and good thoughts for you…

  2. That is a great picture of you two… oh and the butterfly too.
And we watched Frozen too. It was surprising – that dastardly guy. Hmmph he had me fooled.
I love your posts. Know you are prayed for and cared for.
    Hugs & Blessings,
    Em

  3. I love your pictures of you and hubby.
I went to the movie Frozen with my daycare and it was the best movie in a long time (I think since Cars).
Keep posting my friend, I love hearing from you. Oh and yeah for Ms. Cherry and oh my, that was great for Dirtbike.
    Take care my friend, Blessings!!

  4. From Plain Grace’s post on planners. Is there anything better than a perfectly sharp Ticonderoga pencil?? Your comment made me think about that in a big picture kind of way. Go ahead and have a tentative plan with the wisdom of possible change with a good eraser.

Anyway, it’s good to see that you are hanging tough. I have been praying for God to protect you from depression, if that is His will. You and your husband are a very handsome couple. Do people even say that anymore? 🙂

  5. Oh, I forgot to ask you if you’ve listened to Pachelbel Canon? It was recommended to me for chronic pain and Wow, is it amazing. Blessings and have a good week.
