Learning to Run Again – Christmas Trees!

Greetings Chickies!

It’s a beautiful day here in north central Texas, perfect weather for getting outside and moving our rear ends!

I did a 5K at lunchtime today, finishing in…

…Drumroll Here…
40 minutes!!

From my office to the Optimist Club Christmas Tree lot on University and back. Yes, I ran/walked down there just to smell the Christmas trees.  We’ve had an artificial tree for more than a decade now thanks to ever increasing allergies in Husband and Offspring, and I MISS that wonderful smell!  The guy gave me a branch to bring back and scent my office.

Getting there was much easier than coming back, because, well I was carrying a Christmas tree branch, and I was tired and hungry!  I really should eat something before I head out the door.

December 8 – Beautifully Different – #Reverb10

Think about what makes you different and what you do that lights people up. Reflect on all the things that make you different – you’ll find they’re what make you beautiful.

What do I do that lights people up?    I could go all risque and naughty and limit the definition of “people” to my Dear Husband, but no, you really don’t want those details, now do you?
So how do I light other people up, besides my DH?  I honestly have to say it’s my unending enthusiasm and genuine happiness for other people’s successes.  Really!  I’m the best cheerleader that I know (sans the pleated mini skirt) and I can pull the best out of almost anyone.
Almost?  Yeah.  Teen Son#2 seems to be immune to my powers of persuasion. *sigh*
