There's Nobody to Blame But Myself

No, this isn’t one of those “Woe is me I went on a binge” posts.  But what I did WAS pretty stupid.  Remember that prescription for which I took an eight mile bike ride to order and then another ride to go pick up?   I lost it.

Seriously.  I’m totally freaked out.  I never lose anything.  It’s part of my built in Type A Personality Defense System.  So what does that mean?  I had to ride to Dr. Tom’s office again today to get a replacement.  Normally, I’d be tickled at the prospect of outdoor exercise in the sunshine.  Even Olivia would be tickled.

But it’s windy today.  Windier than that first ride.  The sustained wind today is 26 mph.  It took me 38 minutes to get to Dr. Tom’s office, and I thought I was going to die at three miles out.  It took me only seventeen minutes to get back to my office with the wind at my back.
So. Let’s look at the bright side, shall we?  I made it back alive.  I can tell that I got a great workout today because my quads feel like jelly.  I got DirtBike’s prescription just in the nick of time, as he took his last pill this morning.  Tuesday is the pharmacist’s ‘late’ night so I can get it filled on the way home from work.
