October is crazy. Two of our offspring have birthdays days apart, there are two large Church and School events that require our volunteer time, football season and general Home Keeping fills our October calendars to the brim. I’ve hardly had time to exercise, much less blog about it!

The 5K was fabulous! I finished in 39:12, quite respectable for a walker. I was SO NERVOUS before the race. I kept looking around and seeing all these folks who were obviously serious runners. What was I doing there??
I started at the back of the pack, and once I settled down and realized that nobody was laughing at me, I actually managed to pass a whole bunch of little kids, and even an adult or two!
I can’t wait to do another race.

Teen Son#1 finished second in his age group – 21:24. Teen Daughter #1 finished first in her age group with 31:17!
The overall winner? A friend of Teen Daughter #2. This young man finished in 19:00 flat.
