Christmas Dress Challenge – Week Eight – Steady

Week Eight!!  Le Sigh….it’s just going so fast!

This week I weighed in at 158.3 pounds, another little gain.  Rats.  But not the end of the world.  Here’s the rest of the recap.

DO-IT:  The Dress.Done. Maybe I’ll wear it to work.

DO-IT: My  Weight Watchers points. Right on.

DO-IT: Earn 50 activity points a week. Done! Even with a week of parenting solo.  Two 10 mile rides, Self Defense classes, a quick run and two – TWO – sessions of Insanity.  I rock.  Total of 57 points.

DO-IT: Consistency. Done.  Ate my veggies.  Didn’t eat Halloween leftovers.

DO-IT: Hydrate.  Done.

DO-IT:Read a few more chapters of Refuse to Regain this week.

DO-IT: One update post a week. Yes!

DO-IT: Link up to your weekly updates.  Done for sure, this week!

DO-IT:  Be supportive.  Yes!  Yes! Yes!  I’ll make the rounds again this week!

Bonus DO-IT:  Yearly Mammogram and physical.  Have you had yours?

Glorious Day!

It is an absolutely glorious Texas Autumn day today!  They sky is a spectacular shade of blue, it’s only 70ish degrees outside and the wind isn’t blowing [too hard].  I just HAD to get outside for a ride at lunchtime.

I met a new friend today.

I was on fire today, peddling right along.  Got in about fifteen miles, including a stop at the pediatrician’s office to pick up DirtBike’s prescription and a swerve through the drive through at the bank. I just love riding my bike through the drive through.  People look at me so strangely!

This is where I turned around, my halfway point.  That pointy finger in the picture above?  That’s downtown, where my office is.  Told you I was on fire today!!

Christmas Dress Challenge – Week Seven – Cresting the Hill!

Halfway – can you believe we’re half way through this challenge?  Even more astonishing – we’re heading into November.  Where did this year go?

This week I weighed in at 158.0 pounds, a little gain.  I know exactly why, too.  Loss of focus and failure to exercise my self-control muscle.  It’s all good…time to Suck It Up, Buttercup and get it done this week whether I want to or not.

DO-IT:  The Dress. It’s still here, hanging on the closet door.  Now I need to find an occasion to wear it. It was announced this week that our Company Christmas Party won’t be the usual sit down dinner formal-ish type event.  Nope.  We’re renting out the Lucky Strike Bowling/Lounge on a Saturday afternoon instead, which will be super fun!  My design team has decided to get some funky matching bowling shirts for ourselves and our spouses to sport at the party.  That’s a good thing, because I just can’t see myself in Princess Pea’s gold shoes and the red dress tossing a ball down a lane! I’ll just wear it to mass on Christmas Eve. 🙂  Scandalous!

DO-IT: My  Weight Watchers points. Over.  Told you I didn’t exercise my self-control muscle!

 

DO-IT: Earn 50 activity points a week. This I did.  Self Defense classes, a 15 mile bike ride, Insanity Workout (Yes, it’s insane.  My butt hurts today.) lots of walking and a bazillion lunges and pushups.

DO-IT: Consistency.  Not so hot.  I didn’t get enough veggies in my diet this week.  That’s easy enough to fix, and next week’s menus are already planned.

DO-IT: Hydrate.  Done-ish. It was better towards the end of the week once I found my favorite water bottle that had gone missing.

DO-IT:Read a few more chapters of Refuse to Regain this week.
